About Uncharted Travel

Uncharted Travel is dedicated to providing off the beaten track travel advice for those who are determined to go anyway.

However we also recognise that in travelling to these off the beaten track destinations we CAN impact on them in such a way that ruin our very reasons for wanting to visit them.

Therefore we encourage travel that has a positive impact on both the traveller but especially on the destination being visited.

We standby the saying “Leave only footprints, take only photos…”

We also recognise that destinations cannot always be described by their political boundaries, and that a destination may span one or more international boarders as is the case with Kurdistan, which spans no less than five countries.

With this in mind we made a decision to give these destinations their own section, even though they do not exist like this in the political sense.

When it comes to Passport/Visa Requirements & International Boarder Crossings however we acknowledge the political reality of travelling to this destination, and provide advice based on this.
